The Orbex Group, a manufacturer of electric motors and slip rings, now offers brushless servo motors that combine high torque, low inertia, and various customizable options to improve efficiency in dynamic servo-driven applications. In fact, customizable elements include the motor windings, holding brakes, feedback options, gear reducers, connectors, and shaft and mounting.

Available in a range of frame sizes (60 to 176 mm) the NdFeB-based brushless servomotors include incremental encoders for position feedback and electrical commutation — enhancing motor efficiency, minimizing maintenance requirements and increasing throughput.

Customizable windings make it easy to meet technical requirements, while integrated gear reducers reduce package size and lower overall costs. Other customizable features include brakes, additional feedback options, connectors and custom mounting options. Frameless configurations are also available for easy integration into high-level assemblies. Offerings include nine of those with high-voltage windings (100 to 200 Vac) as well as seven of those with low-voltage windings (24 to 90 Vdc).

The motors deliver smooth low-cogging motion and IP65-level protection for reliable operation in demanding industrial or outdoor environments. Typical applications include communications, security and AGVs, defense, packaging, and robotics. For more information, visit orbexgroup.com/motors.
